The Wooster Invitational wrapped up on Saturday as the women's swim team improved their standing to second overall and the men stayed in fourth.
The women finished with a total of 1,219.5 points. They edged Gannon University by 109.5 points but could not catch up to the leader, Case Western Reserve University, who finished with 2,163 points.
Meanwhile, the men scored 1,093 points, just missing out on overtaking third-place Westminster College who finished with 1,105 points for third. Again, Case Western Reserve finished on top with a total of 2,205 points for first place.
In day three, the women exceled in the distance race as Nell Kacmarek and Emma Fikse finished first and second in the 1650 free. Kacmarek finished in a time of 17:52.35, and Fikse followed at 17:56.66.
To close, the 400 free relay squad of Fikse, Brown, Kacmarek and Kate Murphy finished sixth with a time of 3:39.53.
The swim teams will get an extended break following this weekend's action. They return to the pool Jan. 18 when they host John Carroll University.
