The popular website D3football.com unveiled its 2018 Preseason All-America team on Monday, and The College of Wooster's Nick Strausbaugh was among the honorees. The junior wide receiver was a second-team selection.
Strausbaugh, coming off a season in which he earned second-team D3football.com All-North Region, North Coast Athletic Conference Newcomer-of-the-Year, and first-team All-NCAC accolades, electrified the Fighting Scots' faithful during his first season on the gridiron. The local product's 1,315 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns marked new single-season program records, and the latter tied the NCAC benchmark. Strausbaugh logged seven 100-yard games and had a touchdown in nine contests.
Noteworthy, Strausbaugh ranked fourth nationally in touchdowns and sixth in yards in 2017.
The D3football.com Preseason All-America team is chosen from the previous year's All-American and All-Region nominations.
