A 2013 graduate of The College of Wooster, John Angelo is in his fifth year as a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater.
Angelo ended his career on a high note, finishing third individually at the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship Series, picking up first-team all-conference honors in the process. Angelo, really impressed at the second event of the series, earning medalist honors with a 4-over-par 146 over the final 36 holes. Angelo was the only golfer among the 46 in competition to turn in a round at par or better, as the then-senior carded a career-low 68 at the par-72, 6,876-yard Oakhaven Golf Course. For the two events, he turned in a 77-77-68-78 to end with an even 300 on the scorecard.
As a junior, Angelo added medalist honors at the Indianbrook Invitational, with a 1-over-par 73.
For his career, Angelo logged nine top-10 finishes, and averaged 80.1 strokes over 69 rounds.
Professionally, Angelo is off to a promising post-grad start in the insurance world, serving as an stop loss underwriter at Roundstone Management, Ltd., which provides services to various businesses in the Cleveland area.
He earned his bachelor's in mathematics from the College.
