Junior guard Anna Gibbs of The College of Wooster women's basketball team was named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team as an honorable mention selection, according to an official announcement by the league office Tuesday morning.
Gibbs, a two-time all-conference honoree, led Wooster in points (11.2), assists (3.6), and steals (1.5), and finished the season as one of two players in the NCAC to rank top-10 in all three aforementioned categories. The junior, who was named as an honorable mention selection last season, was one of 16 players recognized across the league.
As a starter in all 26 games, Gibbs' notable individual achievements included recording a season-high 21 points in respective victories over Ohio Wesleyan University (Jan. 6) and Allegheny College (Feb. 7), as well as dishing a career-best 12 assists against Penn. State-Behrend (Nov. 21). Additionally, the junior garnered her first career NCAC Player of the Week award after averaging 18.0 points, 7.5 assists, and 3.5 steals in victories over Allegheny (Feb. 7) and Ohio Wesleyan (Feb. 10).
