Senior Emma Lawrence scored four goals in Wooster's season opener last week to earn North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week honors.

Lawrence led the Scots to an 18-7 win over Capital University on Saturday in the team's lone game. Lawrence picked up right she left off last year as the team's leader in points.

With the game tied 1-1, Lawrence scored two goals in a span of under a minute to give the Scots the lead for good.

Her next two goals came in the second half. She scored her third 30 seconds after a goal from Laura Papp and her final tally came with 10:16 remaining in the game.

Lawrence also led the team with two assists. She also finished with four groundballs, three draw controls and three caused turnovers.

Wooster (1-0) returns to action Thursday when they travel to Westminster (Pa.).
