The College of Wooster's Lauren Acker scored North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors following an 11th-place finish at Otterbein University's Invitational on Saturday.

Acker was the top NCAC finisher in what marked the first-year's first collegiate 6k event. She missed out on a top-10 finish by less than four-tenths of a second after crossing at 23:20.70.

Acker has been Wooster's No. 1 harrier in both meets this fall. She had a top-10 finish at the season-opening Wooster Invitational, running a 15:58.5 on the 4,000 meters course at L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.

Wooster is back in action on Friday at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country Challenge at Cedarville University.
