A trio of College of Wooster women's cross country runners placed within the field's top-10 at Friday's Tiffin University Cross Country Open. Wooster's women finished as the runner-up and the men took third.

First-year Stella Anderson led Wooster's entries, posting the seventh-place time of 20:17.4 on the 5K course. First-year Eloise Gravel was two spots back, crossing at 20:58.3. Not far behind was senior Reeve Helvoigt, securing her top-10 placement with a 21:06.5. Of note, all three were within the field's top-10 at the season-opening Wooster Invitational as well.

First-year Sophie Krummick went 21:08.6 for 11th and senior Elise Wheeler broke into the top-15 with a 21:16.3 to round of Wooster's scorers. First-year Molly Noesen-Bosscher (16th, 21:27.0) and junior Eilidh Horn (17th, 21:28.1) comprised the rest of Wooster's top seven.

Junior Basil Keck crossed first on the men's side, covering the 5K in 16:40.2. Keck's 19th-place finish was followed by classmate Grant Mentzer's 21st-place time of 16:56.3. Sophomore Max Kollhoff and junior Andrew Rombach posted times of 17:20.7 and 17:25.0, respectively, for top-25 showings. First-year Gabe Coble's 17:29.7 was the fifth time within Wooster's entries and was good for 27th.

Senior Nick Schade (29th, 17:51.7) and first-year Owen Neville (30th, 17:56.4) rounded out Wooster's top seven.

Tiffin, a NCAA Div. III program, had the top seven placers on the men's side and posted the top cross country team score of 15 points. Nathan Eminian broke the tape for the men's race at 15:49.7. On the women's side, Ally Denny was the top placer at 18:46.8.

Next, Wooster is off to the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country Challenge, taking place Friday, September 18 in Cedarville, Ohio.
