Madison Whitman returns to The College of Wooster as the swimming and diving program's full-time assistant swimming coach and pool manager.

A 2022 graduate of The College, Whitman returns after a coaching stint at Hope College, where she was the assistant swim coach since August 2023. In addition, she was Hope's Health Dynamics Activity and Lifeguard Certification Instructor as well as an Events and Conferences Manager.

She helped coach the Division III National Runner Up in the women's 200 IM and saw 10 athletes swim to All-American honors.

Whitman was an All-American herself at Wooster after being awarded honors in the 200 breaststroke in 2020. She also set the school record that year in the event at 2:18.30, which still holds today.

She earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in the 200 breast that year and claimed All-NCAC honors again in 2022 as part of the 800 free relay team.

The four-year letter winner is scattered throughout the record books. She is in the program's top 10 in the 100 breaststroke, the 200 IM and the 400 IM and is part of the 800 free relay team who set the Timken Natatorium record in 2021.
