Lawrence Wynn Jr. has served as The College of Wooster's director of strength and conditioning and manager of the College's fitness and strength centers since June 2026.

Wynn Jr. made the transition to the college ranks following a highly successful 11-year career at the high school level with some of the area's top high school programs. Most recently, Wynn Jr. spent five years as director of strength and conditioning at Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, Ohio. There, he led programming for 25 athletic teams and taught proper lifting techniques to all junior high physical education classes. Gilmour's varsity teams regularly contend for state championships, with the Lancers winning Ohio High School Athletic Association titles in hockey and volleyball. Gilmour Academy was named the MaxPreps Ohio Cup Champion Wynn Jr.'s first year at Gilmour, and that award functions similarly to the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Learfield Directors' Cup.

Prior to Gilmour, Wynn Jr. worked six years at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio as assistant strength and conditioning coach. He worked closely with 27 athletic programs. Wynn Jr.'s tenure coincided with Archbishop Hoban's dominant run of five football state championships in a six-year stretch, and the Knights won state championships in baseball, golf, soccer, and dance during his tenure.

Wynn Jr. graduated from the University of Akron and earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science. He started his collegiate career as a football and track and field student-athlete at the University of Cincinnati. He holds a certified strength and conditioning specialist certificate from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
