Lieberman arrived in Wooster after serving as director of athletics at Newark Academy in New Jersey since 2022. At Newark Academy, he oversaw 28 athletic programs across 15 high school sports, guiding teams to a combined 29 state, district, county, and conference championships.

Prior to Newark Academy, Lieberman served as director of athletics, health, and wellness at Barrie School in Maryland. He launched a successful facility rental program to expand community engagement and revenue opportunities.

Lieberman's career includes serving as director of athletics at Trinity School in New York, Cannon School in North Carolina, Saint Mary's School in North Carolina, and associate director of athletics at Hawken School in Ohio. At Trinity, he was named New York City Independent School Basketball Coach of the Year after leading his team to a New York State Association of Independent Schools championship.

In addition to his school-based leadership, Lieberman has deep ties to competitive sleepaway sports camps, bringing valuable experience in high-performance youth development, staff leadership, and creating strong team cultures in immersive environments.

Throughout his career, he has built athletic programs from the ground up, revitalized existing offerings, and developed partnerships with vendors, community leaders, and other stakeholders to enhance athletic opportunities for students.

Lieberman was the Maryland District 2A Athletic Director of the Year in 2022 and has held numerous committee service positions within high school athletic conferences.

Lieberman holds a bachelor's degree in geography and sociology from Clark University and a master's in athletic administration and physical education from Springfield College.
