Josh Dailey scored in the 70th minute to tie the match at 1-1, and the score remained deadlocked through two overtime periods, as The College of Wooster men's soccer team played Heidelberg University to a draw Sunday afternoon in a neutral site contest at Gambier, Ohio.
Heidelberg (2-2-2) outshot the Fighting Scots (3-2-1) by an 8-2 margin in the first half, and they eventually lit the scoreboard first when Michael Juart blasted in an unassisted goal in the 32nd minute to make it 1-0.
Then in the second half, Wooster's offense finally produced the equalizer, when Dailey scored his first goal of the season on an assist from Jonathon Fox that tied the match.
The Scots, who had just won in double overtime two days ago, ended up going another 110 minutes in this contest, but had to settle for their first draw this fall.
Goalkeeper Taylor Takacs finished with five saves, including a critical one during the first overtime period.
Next, Wooster hosts Earlham College Saturday at 1 p.m.
