The College of Wooster men's soccer team totaled 26 shots against Heidelberg University on Tuesday, but Miles Rochester had his lone shot count to lift Wooster to a 1-0 win.
The first-year was assisted by classmate Max Wiley on the play who guided a pass through traffic from the right side to find Rochester in front of the net.
It was Rochester's second goal of the season.
Opportunities were hard to come by for both teams in the first half. Wooster totaled eight shots with three on goal. Several long passes proved too powerful.
Meanwhile, Heidelberg had just four shots but did a decent job with possession.
The second half favored Wooster as they outshot the Student Princes 18-6. They kept the pressure on even after Rochester's goal.
The Student Princes got a little more aggressive and were flagged with four yellow cards in the second half alone. Wooster tallied one in the 81st minute.
Jason Prather collected the win in goal, collecting four saves in the shutout. The sophomore is 3-2 on the year.
Wooster improves to 4-2, while Heidelberg drops to 3-2.
Wooster returns to play Saturday night when they travel to Muskingum University.
