The College of Wooster women's soccer team tied with Ohio Wesleyan University, 1-1, on Saturday in the team's season finale.

In a tight North Coast Athletic Conference race, Wooster needed a win to keep its season going and found themselves down 1-0 in the 24th minute. Ohio Wesleyan got a great look off a free kick, allowing
Tiffany Trinh to lace her second goal of the season.

Wooster's only goal was the equalizer. It was a well-crafted play on a cross from senior
Charlotte Sefcik to first-year
Paige Schulz. For Schulz, it was perfect timing for her first goal of her collegiate career, which came in the 38th minute.
Less than a minute later, Ohio Wesleyan (3-6-9, 0-2-5 NCAC) thought they had taken the lead again, but a foul was determined before the ball went in for the potential score.

With a 1-1 score at halftime, both teams had their chances to go ahead in the second half. Ohio Wesleyan outshot Wooster 9-8 in the half and 17-13 in the game.

Neither team had a corner kick in the final 45 minutes, but Ohio Wesleyan had three to Wooster's two in the first half.

Goalkeeper
Lucy Carlin made a game-high seven saves, while her counterpart,
Natalie Ryan made six.

Wooster ends their season at 11-3-3 overall and a 3-2-2 conference record. Their 11 points tied Kenyon College for fourth place, but the Owls held the tiebreaker to get into the upcoming NCAC Tournament.
