The College of Wooster women's basketball team won their fifth straight game on Monday, defeating Kalamazoo College, 63-47, in their final non-conference game of the season.
Wooster (9-4) used a 27-8 second quarter to make up for a slow start in the first, which saw Kalamazoo (1-11) with a 19-9 lead. When halftime hit, Wooster held its largest lead at that point at 36-27.
After making just three field goals in the first quarter, Wooster went 9-of-17 in the second, while sophomoreÂ
Mackenzie Riccitelli led all scorers with 19. Meanwhile, Wooster's defense got better as well, limiting Kalamazoo to just two field goals on 13 percent shooting.
In the second half, Wooster expanded its lead with an 18-11 third quarter, which allowed the bench some action in the fourth. Wooster led by as many as 18 just two minutes into the fourth.
Riccitelli finished with a team-high 19 points. JuniorÂ
Abby Henegar scored all of Wooster's 15 bench points and grabbed six rebounds, which were both season highs.
Ace Sturdivant scored 15 points as well and rounded her stat line with seven rebounds, six assists, five steals and three blocks.

Ella Dean each scored seven points, while Pink tied Ace for a team-high seven rebounds.
Kalamazoo'sÂ
Ruby Hogan led all scorers with 21 points.
From the court, Wooster nudged the Hornets, shooting 34 percent (22-65) to their 32 percent (17-53) and was better from range at 30 percent (8-27) to 23 (3-13).
Wooster won the rebounding battle 42-38 and committed just 18 turnovers to Kalamazoo's 24.
The five game win streak matches the 5-0 start the 2013-14 team had, and the last time Wooster won nine games in a season was back in the 2012-13 season.
Wooster stays home and returns to North Coast Athletic Conference action to play Saturday against 20th ranked and undefeated Denison University (13-0).
