The College of Wooster men's tennis team improved to 3-1 in the spring season after taking their second straight 7-0 win, knocking off Franciscan University at Aspen Racquet Club.

Wooster had little trouble throughout the match, starting by taking the early doubles point. The No. 1 team ofÂ

Anthony VanOyen as well as the No. 3 team ofÂ
Walker Wood andÂ
Andrew Wissman each collected a 6-2 win.Â

Bennett Dickerson collected the 6-0 victory.

In singles play, VanOyen at No. 1 and Wissman at No. 5 each took 6-0, 6-0 wins. Lopes was close to replicating but settled for a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 3 flight.

At the No. 2 flight, Royse won 6-4, 6-1. At No. 5, Dickerson won 6-2, 6-1, and at the No. 6 slot, Wood left with a 6-3, 6-0 win.

Wooster will be back in action on Feb. 22 when they host Otterbein University at Aspen Racquet Club.
