The College of Wooster women's basketball team stayed in contention for the final spot of the upcoming North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament after splitting the season series with Kenyon College on Wednesday in a 64-53 win.

Junior Ace Sturdivant scored a game-high 21 points, one shy of her season-high, and added eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.
 
Sophomore Mackenzie Riccitelli scored 13 of her 17 points in the second half, adding six rebounds, five assists and five steals.
 
Senior Ella Biondi recorded her third double-double of the year with 10 points and 14 rebounds.  She also added three blocks.
 
Her 709 career rebounds move her up to fifth all-time in Wooster's record book as well. 
 
Kenyon (6-18, 1-12 NCAC) received 14 points from Anissa Hardy and 11 from Kiana Mollabashy.
 
Wooster (11-13, 3-10 NCAC) came out with a 5-0 start and led 14-13 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Scots had their best run of the game as four different Scots helped score eight straight to take a 22-13 lead.
 
They carried that for a 28-22 lead at halftime.
 
Kenyon answered by starting the third with their own 8-0 run to take their first lead of the game at 29-28. While Kenyon won the quarter, 19-15, their lead only got as high as two and Wooster recaptured the lead by the end of the quarter, 43-41.
 
Midway through the fourth, a 3-pointer by Mollabashy cut Wooster's lead to two, but  Sturdivant would score five straight to give Wooster a 58-51 lead with 4:22 remaining.
 
Kenyon would never get closer as the game was capped off by a steal and layup from Sturdivant.
 
Wooster shot 34 percent (22-65) from the floor, 30 percent (7-23) from deep and 72 percent from the line (13-18). Meanwhile, Kenyon shot 28 percent (20-71) for the game, 30 percent (6-20) from range and 64 percent (7-11) from the charity stripe.
 
The Scots won the rebounding battle, 49-45. They outscored Kenyon in the paint, 28-22, fast break points, 11-3, and points off turnovers, 14-12.
 
Wooster has one regular season game left on its schedule. They will celebrate senior day and host DePauw University (15-9, 8-5 NCAC) on Saturday. The Tigers are coming off a win over ninth-ranked Ohio Wesleyan, 60-56.
