The College of Wooster women's tennis team opened play at Aspen Racquet Club on Sunday, defeating the University of Mount Union, 6-1.

Elyse Errington pulled off a tight 7-6 win thanks to a dominating 7-1 tiebreak.

In singles action, Williams and Richmond had impressive 6-1, 6-0 wins in the No. 2 and No. 4 flights, respectively.

Amelia Francisco, 6-1, 7-5, in the No. 1 flight, while Rile won 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 3 flight.Â

In the No. 6 flight, Adkins captured a 6-2, 6-2 win. Errington suffered Wooster's lone defeat in the No. 5 flight, 6-0, 6-2.

Both teams move to .500 with the result, Mount Union at 3-3 and Wooster at 2-2. The Scots return to Aspen on Saturday when they host Franciscan University.
