Scots Compete at Harrison Dillard

Multiple Scots come close to school records

Multiple College of Wooster track and field records were challenged on Friday, as several Fighting Scots competed at Baldwin Wallace University's Harrison Dillard Meet at George Finnie Stadium.

Wooster sophomore Francis Nwokonko, sophomore Franklin Adu-Baah, junior Cooper Norwell, and sophomore Dasebre Ofosu-Manu went 42.12 in the 4x100 relay, just off the school-record time of 41.75. The 42.12 was just off the relay's season-best of 42.08 that netted All-Ohio honors in mid-April. Adu-Baah led Wooster in the 100-meter dash with a 10.86, just shy of All-American Reggie Ray's school-record time of 10.65.

Elsewhere, senior Evie Sanford competed in the shot put, turning in a season-best effort of 42 feet, 6.75 inches. Senior Rob Mays III rounded out the competitors in the hammer, throwing a best of 167 feet, 4 feet shy of his North Coast Athletic Conference winning mark and school record from last Saturday.
