A 1-under-par Monday from senior Jake Cammarata led The College of Wooster men's golf team's climb to a top-five finish at Allegheny College's Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational, which took place on Sunday and Monday at the par-72, 6,707-yard Country Club of Meadville. Wooster closed with a solid 299 to post a 606 for the 36-hole event.

Cammarata's 71 was one off a collegiate-best and vaulted the senior 26 spots up the leaderboard to a tie for 17th at 150. He got back to 1-under-par with birdie four of Monday's round at the par-3, 175-yard No. 6, which was his fourth-to-last hole of the back-nine-started round. Cammarata turned at 1-under-par, rolling in birdies on the par-3, 146-yard No. 13, the par-4, 324-yard No. 15, and the par-4, 366-yard No. 18. The senior went 1-under-par on the par-3 holes on Monday and even-par on the par-4 and par-5 holes. Cammarata signed for a 79 on Sunday and played his final nine holes at 3-over-par.

Senior Andrew Carey posted a top-15 finish with a 5-over-par 149. He moved up nine spots on the leaderboard with a 1-over-par 73 on Monday. Carey was 2-under-par through 11 holes play, thanks to knocking in four birdies in a six-hole stretch. The first went down on the par-4, 393-yard No. 14, and a second birdie followed on No. 15. Carey added to the birdie haul on No. 18, then with one on the par-5, 548-yard first hole, which was the 10th played of the back-nine-started round. Carey opened the tournament with a 76.

First-year Florian Egger was next, tying for 34th with a 155 in his lineup debut. Egger closed with a 4-over-par 76, getting off to a strong start with an even-par opening nine on Monday. He was 2-under-par through seven holes, rolling in birdie two of his Monday round on the par-4, 375-yard 16th hole. Egger went 3-over-par on the back nine of Sunday's round, making six pars in the opening nine holes of his tournament.

Juniors Rafa Tanjung and Nunth Khamkhokgruad placed 39th and 40th, respectively, shooting 157 and 158. Tanjung posted an opening-round 78, playing the middle six holes of the stretch at 1-under-par. He sank birdies on the first two par-5 holes upon turning to Meadville's front nine on Sunday.

Khamkhokgraud fired a 2-over-par 74 in the opening round. The junior went 1-under-par for his final 13 holes, dropping in the third birdie of the round on the par-3, 194-yard eighth hole.

John Carroll University ran away from the field with a 15-under-par 561 to finish 23 strokes ahead of runner-up Allegheny. The Gators' Christopher Hoffman was the medalist with a 7-under-par 137.
