Wooster’s top pitcher, and one of the premier pitchers in the region evidenced by ABCA and D3baseball.com all-region certificates as a junior.

2017: Consensus third-team all-region pitcher by the ABCA and D3baseball.com … Elevated to first-team all-conference … Didn’t drop a start, going 8-0 on the year with a tidy 2.92 ERA over 74 innings of work … Led the team with 61 strikeouts, and held the opposition to a .224 average … NCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week on May 8, and earned honorable mention NCBWA Pitcher-of-the-Week award after not allowing a run in 14 innings of work against Hiram (May 1) and Ohio Wesleyan (May 6) … Worked a complete-game shutout against Ohio Wesleyan, allowing three hits over eight innings while striking out seven … Added a two-hit shutout versus Oberlin (April 2), while also fanning seven … Allowed two runs in 14 innings while striking out 10 in postseason action, including seven innings of shutout baseball against Misericordia (May 19) in the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional … Made a rare relief appearance in the season-opening win at Capital (March 9), and picked up the save with four scoreless innings of work … Struck out seven against DePauw (May 12) in the winner’s bracket game of the NCAC Tournament.

III NCBWA National Pitcher-of-the-Week on May 5 … Pitched 20 scoreless innings (April 23-May 1), headlined by five-hit, nine-inning shutout in a 6-0 win over Oberlin on May 1 … Hurled seven scoreless innings versus Kenyon (April 27) … Came back on no days rest to hurl 4 1/3 innings of the winner-takes-all game of the NCAC Tournament (May 14) … Held DePauw to two runs on four hits while striking out five … Pitched brilliantly against No. 2 Randolph-Macon (May 19) in the Div. III Mideast Regional, but came out on the wrong end of a 2-1 game after allowing two runs on seven hits in six innings, while striking out five.

2015: Threw the fifth-most innings of anyone on the staff as a freshman, working 41 overall … Won the two decisions he was involved in (2-0) and saved a game while producing a 6.37 ERA and striking out 31 … Came out of the bullpen in his first 14 games, then earned starting nod five times (20 total appearances) … Helped the Scots stave off elimination during the NCAC Tournament (May 8) by starting a game vs. Oberlin and yielding zero earned runs (two unearned) over 4 1/3 innings … Threw a season-high seven innings against Oberlin (April 26), and had five strikeouts in that game and one other … Earned first career win with two-scoreless innings vs. Allegheny (March 29) and notched a one-inning save in his first collegiate appearance vs. North Park (March 9).
