2023: One of four returning starting position players from 2022 Super Regional team and one of two of those who missed a good chunk of season due to injury … Played in 20 games … Hit .257 (18-for-70) with 19 RBI, 15 runs, eight doubles, two triples, and a homer … Started year strong with 3-for-5 nightcap, which included four runs scored, two RBI, two walks, and a homer in 19-7 win over Grove City (Feb. 25) … Followed that up with two doubles against Mitchell (March 12) and three RBI as part of 2-for-5 game against Babson (March 12) … Returned from injury to go 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles at Kenyon (April 4) … Returned again from injury against Hiram (April 29) and tied program’s single-game record with two triples.
2022: Wooster’s top newcomer, evidenced by growing from part-time player to daily starter by season’s end … Played in 38 games with 30 starts … Started as the team’s second baseman when Eli Westrick was pitching and by season’s end was starting third baseman … Hit .300 (33-for-110) with 27 runs, 16 RBI, nine doubles, two home runs, and a triple … Made four pitching appearances and finished 0-1 with a save and a 9.64 ERA over 4 2/3 innings … Smashed a go-ahead grand slam in eventual 18-16 loss to national runner-up Salisbury (May 29) in winner-take-all game of Salisbury Super Regional … Finished that game 2-for-5 with two runs scored … Delivered a pinch-hit walk-off single in game one of Oberlin (April 20) twin bill and then made collegiate pitching debut in nightcap, nailing down save with 2/3 of a scoreless inning … Went on to go 7-for-12 with seven run, two RBI, two doubles, and first collegiate home run in starting role rest of week against Allegheny (April 23) and Heidelberg (April 24) … Earned spot on D3baseball.com Team of Week for games played April 18-24.
