Amber DeJonge

Amber DeJonge was hired as The College of Wooster's assistant field hockey coach in June 2025.

DeJonge brought several years of coaching experience at the club level to the College, most recently at HTC Field Hockey in Connecticut. There, she organized and conducted small group, large group, and individual skill development sessions. DeJonge also coached with Pinnacle Field Hockey near her hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Prior to Wooster, the four-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholar of Distinction finished out her career at Albertus Magnus College. There, she played in 26 games, passed out four assists, and scored twice. DeJonge started her career at Stevenson University before transferring to Wilkes University. At Wilkes, DeJonge scored two goals and passed out a pair of assists over 15 games in 2022.

The three-sport student-athlete was a member of the ice hockey and lacrosse teams at Albertus Magnus. In her time at Albertus Magnus, she accumulated 76 draw controls, 60 groundballs, 25 caused turnovers, 14 goals, and four assists as a midfielder. In hockey, she appeared in 35 games and passed out an assist. She was a College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District® honoree for the 2023-24 academic year.

DeJonge graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies.
