Leanne Bough

Leanne Bough, a former member of the United States U21, U19, and U17 junior national teams, has served as The College of Wooster's head field hockey coach since July 2026.

Bough earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-America honors to cap a decorated playing career at Ohio State University in 2023. That followed her third NFHCA All-West Region certificate and first-team All-Big Ten laurels. As a fifth-year, Bough was Ohio State's fourth-leading scorer and helped the Buckeyes to the most wins for the program since 2010. The five-year starter scored 22 goals and passed out seven assists in 88 career contests.

Bough regularly assisted Ohio State's coaching staff as a camp and clinic instructor for six years. She led skill development sessions for athletes of all playing abilities in addition to designing and implementing drills focused on fundamentals, position-specific skills, and game application.

On the international stage, Bough represented the United States as a member of the junior national team and played in matches against Uruguay's junior national team in South America. In high school, she was a sought-after prospect, leading Whitney Point High School to five straight state championships. The two-time high school All-American was the New York Player of the Year as a senior and earned a spot on the U17 and U19 junior national teams.

Bough graduated from Ohio State with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business analytics.
