Jim Dobney is back helping The College of Wooster football team as an assistant coach. He works with Wooster’s tight ends.
Dobney spent 11 years at the College during his first stint on staff, where he helped the team to a 66-36 record, the 2004 North Coast Athletic Conference title, and an appearance in the NCAA Div. III Championship field.
The 40-year coaching veteran was an assistant at Baldwin Wallace University for nine seasons and had head coach stints at Medina High School and Firelands High School, spanning 14 seasons. The retired school teacher spent nearly a decade as an assistant at various Northeast Ohio high schools as an assistant coach.
Dobney is a graduate of Ohio University.
