Biography

Hopes to finish his career with a similar one to last year’s breakout season … Could have a slightly different role as coaching staff may use two post players on floor at same time, which would likely mean he would defend opposing power forwards … Will continue to be featured in the offense at the low post where he has proven to be able to score with a variety of moves … Also an underrated defender, quietly having racked up 70 career steals … 2011-12: Led the league in field-goal percentage (.615) and was among the national leaders in that category for a time, while serving as the team’s third-leading scorer (11.2 ppg) and starting all 31 games … Also led the team with 33 steals and posted 5.3 rebounds a night … Scored in double figures 20 times, highlighted by an eight-game stretch (Dec. 30-Jan. 25) that saw him average 16.4 points on .787 field-goal shooting … Averaged 13.3 points, 8.3 boards, and 1.7 steals during three NCAA Div.
