Carl Festa

  • Title
    Volunteer Asst. Coach

Carl Festa, who led The College of Wooster men’s lacrosse team to a 30-29 record as head coach from 2011-14, is back with the program as a volunteer assistant. Prior to taking over the program, Festa was the program’s lead assistant in 2010, helping the Fighting Scots to one of their biggest victories in team history – a 12-11 decision over then-sixth-ranked Denison University during the first-ever night lacrosse game at Wooster’s John P. Papp Stadium.

As a collegiate athlete, Festa was a football and lacrosse standout at St. Lawrence University. In lacrosse, the Saints won four Liberty League championships, including 32-straight conference games, and appeared in the NCAA Div. III Championships every year during Festa’s time there, and he earned all-league honors twice as a defender.

Professionally, Festa pursued a career in law enforcement in 2014, and he’s a patrol and K-9 officer with the Wooster police department.
