Sam Carmony, who helped The College of Wooster men’s lacrosse program to a North Coast Athletic Conference title and NCAA Div. III Championships berth as a sophomore, is a volunteer assistant as his alma mater.

Carmony made an immediate impact after transferring to the College from Ashland University. He earned All-NCAC honors in 2004 and led the team with 49 groundballs as a senior.

A Wooster native, Carmony helped lead Wooster High School to the Ohio state championship in lacrosse during his senior year. He was an all-league selection in football, lacrosse, and wrestling as a senior, and totaled eight varsity letters for the Generals.

Carmony graduated in 2006 with a history degree. Prior to becoming a full-time farmer, he was a teacher, head lacrosse coach, assistant football coach, and assistant wrestling coach at Jackson High School in Massillon, Ohio.
