Wooster trio honored for performance on field

All-NCAC Football Team

Senior Louie Lindsay headlined The College of Wooster football team's All-North Coast Athletic Conference trio as a first-team selection. Senior wide receiver Tate Journell garnered second-team honors, while junior tight end David Parker was a third-team pick, as announced by league headquarters on Thursday afternoon.

Lindsay, who earned an elevation to the NCAC's top squad after third-team status a season ago, finished the regular season ranked 12th nationally with 1.5 passes defended per contest. Lindsay was a leader on a defense that allowed its fewest points and yards since 2019. His 14 pass breakups and 15 passes defended led the NCAC in the regular season. Lindsay's 51 tackles were third on the team and he was third with five tackles for loss. He earned a spot on D3football.com's Team of the Week following a 73-yard pick-six interception against Kenyon College. He had a high of nine tackles in Wooster's win at Ohio Wesleyan University and totaled four games with multiple breakups this fall.

Journell's selection marked his second all-conference laurel. He was a second-team selection at defensive back as a sophomore. Journell logged a career-high 11 touchdown receptions this fall, a total 16th nationally and fourth in the NCAC for the regular season. He was Wooster's leading receiver with 52 receptions and 798 yards. He had a 15.3 per-catch average. Journell logged the fifth-most receiving yards in the NCAC in 2025. He had four 100-yard games and was one of three receivers with a 100-yard afternoon against Kenyon. Journell's game log showed five games with multiple receiving touchdowns.

Parker's selection continues Wooster's impressive run of All-NCAC tight ends, as the Scots' starter at the position has made the all-conference team in eight of the last nine seasons. Parker logged 75 yards on 15 receptions this fall, led by three receptions for 16 yards at Wilmington College.

Wooster went 5-5 this fall and this year's senior class is the first to beat Wittenberg twice during their careers since the 1940s.
