Two more College of Wooster men's swimming and diving records fell on day two of the program's annual Wooster Invitational, which is taking place through Saturday at the Chris Matthew Aquatics Center. The men's 200 medley relay and the 100 breaststroke were the Friday records for the Fighting Scots. Wooster's women's depth kept the Scots in first place, and the Black and Gold carry a 928.5-927 lead over the University of Mount Union into Saturday. Wooster's men are in third of 10 teams.

First-year Hayden Price has taken over the record book by storm at his first midseason invitational, as he was in on the 200 medley relay record for record three of the meet. Price was followed by senior Boston Sullivan, senior Will Laymon, and senior Callum Glover, who turned in a winning time of 1:32.66. The record bested the 1:33.11 from Alex LaJoie, Peter Parisi, Brian Maddock, and Imre Namath in 2013, which was the program's oldest relay record entering the session.

Sullivan broke Wooster's 12-year-old 100 breaststroke record twice on Friday, first with a 56.73 in prelims, then with a 56.32 in the championship final. Sullivan, who was third in the event, bested Parisi's 56.87 from 2013. Junior Ryan Stokes was with Sullivan in the championship final and swam to the eighth-place time of 1:00.34.

Price captured first in the 100 backstroke with a 50.19, his third time of the meet below alumnus Trey Schopen's 2018 school record. Laymon went 51.78 for a fourth-place finish in the event.

Two Scots logged collegiate-bests in the 100 butterfly championship final. Glover's strong meet continued, with the senior turning in a runner-up 50.69. That improved upon a collegiate-best 50.97 and moved the senior up to fourth in the event in program history. Laymon's 51.16 claimed fifth on Friday, and the time vaulted the senior up to sixth in terms of the fastest in the event in program history.

Senior Will Laubacher and Mount Union's Cameron Burnett were neck-and-neck for first for the majority of the men's 200 freestyle. While Laubacher did get out-touched at the finish, the 1:43.10 marked a new collegiate-best and moved the freestyle specialist up to seventh in program history in the event. Junior Ethan Neuner's 1:47.88 was eighth in the championship final.

Stokes earned runner-up honors in the 400 individual medley with a collegiate-best 4:13.65, which moved him up a spot to eighth on the program's top-10 list. Senior Matt Kaley went 4:24.63 in the championship final for a seventh-place showing.

Wooster's women's 800 freestyle relay had the strongest showing of the night, with senior Emma Humbert, junior Rachel Frank, first-year Aryanna Harton, and first-year Elena Sandifer teaming up for the runner-up time of 8:04.63.  Senior Bailey Nickols, junior Anna Lundquist, junior Sylvia Krieg, and senior Patricia Chen complemented the runner-up effort with the seventh-place time of 8:29.05.

Sandifer held the lead for the majority of the women's 200 freestyle before settling for third, stopping the clock at 1:56.87. Frank complemented the newcomer in the championship final with the sixth-place time of 1:59.72.

Switching back to the men, Laubacher, Neuner, junior Philipp Drappatz, and Price capped the session with the third-place time of 7:11.69 in the 800 freestyle relay. Stokes, Kaley, first-year Zach Joyal, and first-year Evan Hasenkampf went 7:25.13 for seventh.

A quartet of Scots qualified for the women's 400 individual medley championship final. First-year Leah Dean led the trio with the fourth-place time of 4:56.26. The newcomer was quickly followed by sophomore Maggie Layne, senior Lacey Mindock, and junior Becca Murray who placed fifth, sixth, and seventh with times of 4:58.21, 5:03.31, and 5:06.39, respectively.

Wooster's women opened Friday with a fourth-place showing in the 200 medley relay. Dean, Layne, sophomore Elizabeth Theobald, and senior Keara Wiley teamed up for a 1:51.02. They were supported by a 10th-place 1:55.61 from first-year Reese Lucas, first-year Jasmyn Coviello, Krieg, and Chen.

The women's 100 butterfly swimmers were led by Wiley, whose 1:00.79 was fifth in the field. Humbert took first in the consolation final with a time of 1:01.55. Layne's 1:09.66 led Wooster in the 100 breaststroke, placing fifth. Further down the lineup was senior Ainsley Rogers, whose 1:10.77 ranked seventh in the championship final.

Other top-10 relays came from the men's 200 medley consisting of senior Stu Bovich, Stokes, Neuner and Laubacher (eighth, 1:37.56).

Mount Union is the clubhouse leader on the men's side with 1,115 points.

The Wooster Invitational wraps up on Saturday with prelims at 10 a.m., the prelim heats of the 1,650 freestyle immediately following the 10 a.m. prelims, diving at 2 p.m. at Timken Natatorium on Wooster's campus, and finals at 5 p.m.
