The College of Wooster men's tennis team played DePauw University on Sunday and fell 5-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference matchup.
The Scots picked up a pair of points in singles competition. Arnav Yadav won in three sets at the No. 2 flight 3-6, 6-2, 6-3, and Ian Royse won at the No. 3 flight won 6-3, 6-3.
Anthony VanOyen almost claimed Wooster's third point at the No. 1 flight but lost a marathon of a shortened third set 2-6, 7-6 (2), 1-0 (10).
At the No. 4 flight, Bennett Dickerson fell 6-1, 6-0, and at the No. 5 flight, Namit Misra lost 6-1, 6-1. Wrapping up singles play, Walker Wood took a 6-0, 6-3 loss at the No. 6 flight.
DePauw jumped ahead after sweeping doubles play. At the No. 1 doubles flight, Yadav and Misra lost 6-2. At No. 2, VanOyen and Royse lost 6-4, and at No. 3 doubles, Wood and Dickerson fell 6-1.
Wooster is now 7-8 overall and 1-4 in the NCAC. The Scots will take on Kenyon College next on Friday.
