Hargrave to Cap Career at Div. III Championships

Senior Daysia Hargrave, a two-time All-American in the hurdles, will cap her standout College of Wooster career at next week's Div. III Championships, held at SPIRE Academy in Genva, Ohio. Hargrave is a national qualifier in the 100-meter hurdles and is seeded 11th.

The senior twice matched her school record with a time of 14.11, first hitting that in the preliminaries of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, then logging the same time at Baldwin Wallace University's Harrison Dillard Twilight.

This marks Hargrave's third time competing at the Div. III Championships. She debuted at last year's national meet with an 11th-place time of 14.21, which garnered second-team All-America laurels from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. During the 2025 indoor season, Hargrave placed 16th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.88 for a second All-America certificate.

Hargrave is in line to up her all-region count to 12 when the USTFCCCA announces this year's recipients in the coming weeks. She is a 14-time All-NCAC performer, headlined by three conference titles in the 100-meter hurdles. Hargrave became just the third person in NCAC history to win the 100-meter hurdles three straight times.

Hargrave competes in the preliminaries at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The top-eight placers move on to the final, which is at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Places one through eight earn first-team All-America status. Those finishing ninth through 16 with a valid time or mark earn second-team All-America laurels, something that was first instituted at the Div. III level in 2024.
