Four From Men's Lacrosse on All-NCAC Team

The College of Wooster men's lacrosse team, which placed third in the North Coast Athletic Conference this spring, landed four team members on the all-conference team, which was announced on Wednesday. First-year Domenic Cuda was a second-team selection, while third-team status went to senior Will Fink, sophomore John Allen Ginder, and junior Lane Kellogg.

Cuda made an immediate impact as one of Wooster's top defenders and faceoff wings. He led the team as a first-year in groundballs and caused turnovers with 84 and 42, respectively. Cuda's 42 caused turnovers are the third-most in program history, trailing just the 86 and 65 two-time All-American Casey Steffen logged as a junior and senior. Cuda's 84 groundballs are the sixth-most in program history. Through games played May 3, Cuda ranks 12th nationally and tops in the NCAC with 2.79 caused turnovers per game, while his 5.93 groundballs per game are the fourth-most league-wide and within the top-100 nationally. Cuda helped Wooster to a No. 2 ranking within the NCAC for caused turnovers per game. Cuda debuted with five caused turnovers in a 12-9 win at Saint Vincent College and matched that total in a 13-8 win at Kenyon College in mid-April. Cuda upped his collegiate-high with seven caused turnovers at Denison University in the semifinal of the NCAC Tournament.

Fink, now a two-time all-conference selection, ranked third on the team with 20 goals and 34 points. His 14 assists were the second-most by a Scot this spring. The 2024 All-American scored a season-high four goals in a 12-6 win over Wabash College in what marked the program's senior day. That followed a five-point outing against Hiram College, where the midfielder passed out four assists. He had a five-point game at Oberlin College with three goals and two assists.

Ginder, who debuted on the all-conference team as a short-stick defensive midfielder, logged a very balanced year at both ends of the field. Ginder scooped up 23 groundballs, caused five turnovers, scored 14 goals, and passed out six assists. He ranked fourth on the team in goals. Ginder scored three goals and passed out an assist in the win at Kenyon and added two goals and a helper in the NCAC Tournament semifinal at Denison. The sophomore cleaned up four groundballs in a 13-9 win over Wittenberg University.

Kellogg led Wooster's offense with 40 goals and 23 assists. He became the 10th player in program history to surpass 100 career goals and ended the year with 122, tied for the sixth-most in program history. Kellogg's 203 points are the fifth-most in program history and he became the program's fifth 200-point scorer against Wabash with three assists and two goals. The two-time all-conference selection had an eight-point afternoon against Hiram with four goals and four assists. He netted seven goals at Otterbein University and dropped in six more against Messiah University.

Wooster went 9-8 this spring, which included a 5-3 mark in NCAC play.
