ADRIAN, Mich. – The College of Wooster men's soccer team wrapped up non-conference play on Saturday with a 1-0 win at Adrian College.
Senior
Elliot Miller's goal in the 37th minute, off the assist from
Taylor Uszacki, was all Wooster needed to get the victory.
Miller now has a new season-high of five goals. The score also was the 15th of his career.
The defense did its part as well, allowing just four shots all game. Sophomore
Eddie Glucksman was flawless in goal, making one save for the clean sheet.
Offensively, Wooster took 12 shots and held the corner kick advantage 11-2.
Wooster will now focus on its North Coast Athletic Conference schedule after an impressive 8-0-2 start to the season, having already surpassed their win total from a year ago. They join No. 1 ranked Denison University (7-0-1) and Wittenberg University (6-0-3) as the only unbeatens left in the NCAC.
The Scots travel to DePauw University on Saturday. DePauw is 5-2-2 after non-conference play and is coming off a 3-1 loss to 23rd-ranked Calvin University (7-1).
