BETHANY, W. Va -- The College of Wooster men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie against Bethany College on Saturday.
Â
In their first road game of the season, Wooster came out fast thanks to seniorÂ
Evan Amend. He scored his first goal of the season in the 20th minute to put Wooster ahead 1-0, which the Scots kept heading into halftime.
Â
However, Bethany would score the equalizer as late as the 69th minute whenÂ
Pablo Aguilera made it a 1-1 game off an assist fromÂ
Ricardo Diaz.
Â
Neither team could find the back of the net from there. Both had similar opportunities on the attack. Bethany took 11 shots in the game, while Wooster took 10. Both teams had four shots on goal.
Â
Wooster took six corner kicks, while Bethany took three. SophomoreÂ
Eddie Glucksman made three saves.
Â
Bethany moves to 1-1-1, while Wooster moves to 3-0-1.
Â
Wooster returns to Carl Dale Field on Wednesday to take on Heidelberg University.
