Senior Evie Sanford won a pair of events at the Fighting Scots Invitational and improved upon her school record in the shot put to earn North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for the first time this season.

Her fourth overall NCAC Athlete of the Week honor, Sanford won the shot put and upped her own school record with a throw of 42 feet, 11.5 inches. The throw is tied for 18th-best within Division III this winter.

Also on Saturday, Sanford won the weight throw, coming in at 45 feet, 6.25 inches.
