The College of Wooster softball team has found more highs than lows halfway through its spring break trip, going 3-1 across four games and moving to 4-6 on the season.

SeniorÂ
Cate Barkdoll broke the program's career RBI record in the team's first game in Florida and led the Scots to an 8-0 victory in five innings over SUNY Morrisville.

Barkdoll went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI as the Scots collected 11 hits to route Morrisville. Barkdoll recorded an RBI in each of her three swings, culminating with a two-run single with the bases loaded in the fourth.

Senior
 Julia Jennings hit her first collegiate triple in lieu of going 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI. ClassmateÂ
Katie Mommers came off the bench and capped off a four-run fourth inning with a pinch-hit, two-run double to put Wooster ahead 8-0.

JuniorÂ
Tori Conner batted leadoff, going 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. In addition, Conner did her part on the mound, pitching a one-hitter in five innings to secure the win.

Conner gave up a hit to the third batter she faced before retiring 13 of the next 14, issuing just one free pass and striking out four.

Wooster kept the offense going in the second game on Monday before being forced to halt the game in the bottom of the fourth due to lightning and the Scots ahead 5-2. Wooster continued the game on Thursday and held on for a 5-3 win.

Wooster made it a 2-0 game in the first behind one hit and four walks as Barkdoll andÂ
Jillian Meszaros both collected an RBI with a bases loaded walk.

Both players collected an RBI again in the fourth to make it a 5-2 game as Barkdoll doubled to scoreÂ
Emma Hetkey and Meszaros singled to bring home Barkdoll.

Meszaros got the start on the mound. After allowing two runs in 4.2 innings on Monday, the sophomore held Wooster's lead on Thursday, allowing one unearned run in the complete game and pushing her record to 3-1 on the season.

Meredith 8, Wooster 0 (5 inn.)
March 18
The Scots struggled in its first game Wednesday, falling to Meredith College 8-0 in five innings.

Defensive miscues and miscommunications doomed the Scots as Meredith piled on 15 hits, highlighted by a five-run fifth inning.

Offensively, Wooster did not have an answer for the movement from opposing pitcherÂ
Lillie Davis, who pitched the complete game and struck out seven.Â

Ella Wolff andÂ
Lynnsey Delio collected both of Wooster's hits. Wolff also drew a walk to go 1-for-1 in the game.

Â
The softball team responded with a resounding 5-1 win over the University of Chicago in its second game on Wednesday.
Â
Wolff hit the team's first home run of the season to break a 1-1 tie in the second. Scoring slowed until the fifth with Barkdoll double to right center with the bases loaded.

For Barkdoll, her career RBI sits at 92.

Meszaros pitched a complete game gem on the mound, allowing just one earned run and five hits.

The defense also responded with some key plays. The left side of the infield were responsible for both withÂ
Larken Koran at short and Jennings at third.

Chicago had the tying run on deck in the final inning when Jennings turned her double play to end the game.
Â
For Jennings, she has 320 career assists, moving her to second in the program's record books and 10 behind tying first.

Wooster will play its final four games of the spring trip on Friday and Sunday.
