The College of Wooster men's lacrosse team ended their two-game trip in Michigan on Saturday with a 14-6 loss to Hope College.

A competitive first quarter put Wooster down by just one goal, but it became Hope's game to lose with an 8-4 lead at halftime.

Wooster shortened that lead by a goal in the third, but Hope scored a pair of goals to start the fourth, pushing its lead to five and outscoring the Scots 6-1 in the quarter.

Jack Holub led Wooster with two goals, scoring the game's first and tying the game at 2-2. His lone assist came on the next goal whenÂ
Austin Jourde made it a 3-2 game with 4:24 left in the first quarter.

Rowan Piani scored the first goal of the second quarter to make it a 4-4 game.Â
Lane Kellogg fed him with the assist, giving him 109 for his career for a tie for second in program history.
