The College of Wooster men's tennis team fell to 34th-ranked Oberlin College, 6-1, on Sunday.

Anthony VanOyen was able to secure Wooster's lone point in the final match of the day, coming back from a first set loss in the No. 1 flight to win 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (4).

In the No. 6 flight,Â
Walker Wood competed in the other three set match but was on the wrong end after taking the first set, 1-6, 6-0, 6-3.

Enzo Lopes had hard fought first sets in the No. 2 and No. 4 flights, respectively. However, both took losses. Royse fell 6-3, 6-0, and Lopes lost 6-4, 6-3.

Bennett Dickerson fell 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 4 flight, andÂ
Andrew Wissman took a 6-1, 6-2 loss in the No. 5 flight.

In doubles play, the No. 2 team of Royse and Dickerson and the No. 3 team of Wissman and Wood each fell by a score of 6-4. VanOyen and Lopes teamed in the No. 1 flight for a 6-2 loss.

Oberlin improves to 11-6 on the year with a 3-2 record in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Wooster moves to 10-4 overall and 3-3 in the NCAC.

Wooster will have its final home match Wednesday when they welcome Baldwin Wallace University in a non-conference matchup.
