The College of Wooster men's tennis team had a tough time against No. 49 Wabash College, falling 6-1 in a North Coast Athletic Conference matchup.
Â
The weather caused the match to be played indoors at the Collett Tennis Center, just three courts at a time.
Â
Wabash took the advantage early after sweeping doubles play.Â
Enzo Lopes andÂ
Anthony VanOyen fell 6-0 in the No. 1 flight, whileÂ
Walker Wood andÂ

Â
VanOyen gave Wooster its first point and a fighting chance, defeatingÂ
Murilo Guarniari 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 1 flight.
Â
Yet, Wabash (13-10) would take the match point with the next decision, winning the No. 4 flight asÂ
Tharaskesh Ashokar took down Dickerson, 6-4, 6-1.
Â
From there, Wood lost 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 6 spot. Wissman went to a 10-point tiebreaker in the No. 5 flight but could not pull away in a 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10) result.Â
With the six-team NCAC Tournament looming, Wooster (10-5) sits tied in fifth with Wabash with a 3-4 conference record. Wooster stays in Indiana to face DePauw University (13-9, 4-3 NCAC) on Sunday for its final NCAC regular season matchup.
