The College of Wooster's Rachel Frank, Emma Humbert, Elizabeth Theobald, and Keara Wiley were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® on Tuesday, as announced by the organization.

Frank swam on Wooster's fifth-place 800 freestyle relay (7:56.71) on the opening night of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, regarded as NCAA Div. III's preeminent conference meet. Individually, she went 18:25.55 to place 11th in the mile and had top-15 times in the conference in the 500 (5:10.35, 14th) and 200 freestyles (1:59.34, 15th). Frank really came on as a sophomore, just missing All-NCAC honors with a fourth-place time of 7:49.85 as part of the 800 freestyle relay. She currently has the 10th-fastest times in program history in the 500 freestyle (5:10.35) and 1,000 freestyle (10:45.14).

The neuroscience and Spanish major is a first-time Academic All-District® selection. She is currently a student ambassador for the United Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency Foundation. As a student ambassador, Frank recruits clinics and resources for the organization and collaborates with professionals to formulate digestible information for newly-diagnosed families. Prior to her sophomore year, Frank spent the summer abroad in Mexico for a medical observing internship through the Red Cross partnership with Augsburg University. The study-abroad program focused on medical Spanish terminology and healthcare. She observed medical staff for over 100 hours.

Frank was a lab assistant for the chemistry department for the fall semester and taught organic chemistry techniques to fellow students. Last summer, Frank worked as an individualized youth services mentor. As a youth services mentor, Frank worked with children with trauma and severe psychological and behavioral disorders in Wisconsin. Frank is the vice president of the NCAC and Wooster Student-Athlete Advisory Committees and a health coach through the College's large-scale partnership with Wooster Community Hospital. She is assigned a patient from the local community and performs regular wellness check-ins.

Humbert was part of the fifth-place 800 freestyle relay with Frank at conference this winter and the fourth-place 800 free relay as a junior. She earned All-NCAC honors as part of Wooster's third-place 800 freestyle relay that touched at 7:45.70 as a sophomore. For her career, Humbert qualified for two championship finals in individual events at conference. She was ninth in the 200 backstroke as a senior, racing to a 2:10.46 and debuted eighth in the same event as a first-year with a 2:10.78. Humbert won the consolation final of the 400 individual medley as a senior, posting a 4:44.65 at conference and was part of Wooster's sixth-place 400 medley relay (4:03.29). She is set to graduate with program top-10 times in the 100 individual medley (1:02.16, eighth) and 200 backstroke (2:10.07, 10th).

The environmental studies major is a first-time Academic All-District® honoree. For her Independent Study, Humbert looked at wetland restoration techniques and invasive species management at Crane Swamp in Killbuck, Ohio.  She most recently spent a summer as an environmental education intern for Nature Forward. At Nature Forward, Humbert led and supported hands-on environmental education programs for elementary-aged children and worked to foster curiosity and awareness of nature through age-appropriate lessons, activities, and outdoor exploration. Prior to her junior year, Humbert traveled throughout Iceland to collect field research within Iceland's Golden Circle for a comprehensive research publication. She has spent time as a swimming instructor for Kenmont Swim Club and a Spanish tutor for Quareteen Tutors. Humbert is a People Caring for People volunteer in Wooster.

Theobald again was one of Wooster's top swimmers, earning spots on the fifth-place 200 medley (1:50.98) and sixth-place 400 medley relays at conference. She qualified for the championship final of the 100 individual medley for the second straight year, posting a time of 1:00.25, which was seventh. She was 13th in the 100 butterfly (58.67) and 14th in the 200 butterfly (2:16.01) as a sophomore.
