Six Football Scots Granted Hampshire Honor Society Membership

46 Wooster players honored in last 11 years

The College of Wooster's Nick Bostic, Paul Ehenger, Wyatt Harris, Tate Journell, Jordan Lewis, and Michael O'Brien have been granted membership to the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society for the 2025-26 academic year, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. The Hampshire Honor Society is annually made up of to-be graduates from all collegiate divisions who were a starter or significant contributor, achieved a minimum of 3.2 GPA, and have concluded their playing career.

Bostic played in all 10 games on the defensive line and was the team's snapper. He snapped for the lone team in the North Coast Athletic Conference to not miss an extra-point kick this fall. On the line, Bostic logged 17 tackles, five of which came against Wilmington College and Kenyon College.

Ehenger played in nine games with eight starts. He tied for the team lead with three sacks. Ehenger was the NCAC Defensive Player of the Week following the win over Saint Vincent College. He had a career day with four tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. Ehenger followed that by matching a career-high with five tackles against Wabash College.

Harris appeared in nine games with four starts. He was one of 12 Scots to finish the year with 20 tackles. Harris added 2.5 tackles for loss. His high of five tackles came at NCAC champion John Carroll University. Harris logged 11 tackles over the final three games of the year.

Journell earned second-team All-NCAC honors as a wide receiver. He logged a career-high 11 touchdown receptions and was Wooster's leading receiver with 52 receptions and 789 yards. Journell logged the fourth-most receiving touchdowns in single-season program history and finished his career with 17, the eighth-most all-time. Journell became the 18th player in program history to eclipse 1,200 career receiving yards, and even more impressively, did that while playing receiver for the equivalent of two seasons, as he was also a starting defensive back for a good part of his career.

Lewis started nine games and ranked eighth in the NCAC with 689 receiving yards as a senior. He caught 34 passes, six of which went for touchdowns. Lewis had 150 yards on seven catches and two touchdowns in win over St. Vincent and was one of three 100-yard receivers for Wooster against Kenyon College, ending his final home game with 165 yards on seven receptions, two of which were touchdowns.

O'Brien played in all 10 games and made three starts at tight end. His first time catching passes in a game came at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he had a touchdown as part of a three-catch, 19-yard afternoon. O'Brien had two receptions for 10 yards against Kenyon.

Over the last 11 years, 46 Wooster student-athletes have earned membership in the prestigious society.

Over 2,500 players from 365 colleges and universities are part of this year's Hampshire Honor Society.
