The College of Wooster's Donovon Jackson was once again selected by the Fighting Scots' football coaches as the program's Allstate American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team nominee for the 2026 season. Allstate and the AFCA announced the full list of nominees on Monday.

Jackson continues to volunteer 12 hours a week with YMCA of Wooster's before and after school program. He assists local students with homework assignments and plans fun activities. Back home, Jackson volunteers with the Cleveland Food Bank's weekly Saturday food drive. More locally, Jackson helped with carnival setup at a local elementary school and volunteers with Solon Youth Wrestling Club during winter breaks.

The elementary education major has served as group leader for three years of the St. Augustine Rainbow Camp and is working this summer as an autism and mental health technician at Lifeworks Autism Services.

On the field, Jackson earned a starting role as a junior and was tops among defensive linemen with 28 tackles. His high of seven tackles came against Wabash College, and he had three games with at least four tackles, including wins against Saint Vincent College and Kenyon College.

Established in 1992, the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team is one of the top off-the-field honors in college football. Nominees must be actively involved with a charitable organization or service group while maintaining strong academic standing to be eligible for nomination. Each institution whose coach is an AFCA member may nominate just one player each season. The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September. Alumnus Patrick Mohorcic made the prestigious team in 2017. He won the fan vote for the team's captain, which provided the opportunity for Mohorcic to be interviewed live on ESPN about his Scots Care initiative as part of The Home Depot College Football Awards.
