ALMA, Mich. – The College of Wooster women's soccer team and senior goalkeeper
Lucy Carlin posted their second straight shutout on Friday in a 0-0 draw at Alma College.
Wooster (2-1-1) outshot Alma 12-4, but Alma had its fair share of opportunities thanks to six corner kick opportunities. Alma had its sixth with time running out, but Wooster was able to defend it to secure the draw.
On the other end, Wooster also had six corners and found more success with six shots on goal. Yet, Alma keeper
Mya Pofahl made a game-high six saves.
Carlin needed just one save in the game for Wooster.
For Alma (3-0-1), the tie snaps a three-game winning streak to begin the season. However, their shutout streak continues, having not allowed a goal yet this season.
Next, Wooster will stay in Michigan for a Saturday matchup against Kalamazoo College with a kickoff at 11 a.m.
