Scots Wrap Up Michigan Trip

Women's soccer falls to Kalamazoo 2-0

The College of Wooster women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 contest at Kalamazoo College on Saturday.

The Scots failed to find the back of the goal for the second straight game, ending its weekend Michigan trip with a 0-1-1 record.

Kalamazoo (3-2-1) scored both its goals in the second half and both came in a similar fashion.

In the 49th minute, a cross from Kate Klahorst from the left post got past a reaching Lucy Carlin for an open score for Savannah Norman.

Carlin saved another point-blank shot 10 minutes later but could not stop another in the 74th minute. A cross near the left post again found Ruby Hogan in front of the goal as her shot went left and out of the reach of Carlin.

Carlin ended the game with three saves.

Kalamazoo found plenty of success controlling the flow of the game, outshooting the Scots 15-3. They also took nine corner kicks to Wooster's four.

Mia Stoller, Annie Henegar and Mady Cline all recorded shots for Wooster, who drops to 2-2-1 on the year.

Wooster returns to action Wednesday when they hit the road to face Marietta College.
