GREENSBURG, PA – The College of Wooster women's soccer team turned a 1-0 lead at halftime to a 4-3 win over the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on Tuesday.
 
Senior Abby Henegar recorded her first multi-goal game of her collegiate career, in addition to her first scores of the year. She scored the first half's lone goal off her left foot in the 23rd minute.
 
Junior Josie Bencic then got into the scoring column for the first time since the season opener. She took advantage of the keeper not wrapping the ball up after a dive and scored in the 47th minute.
 
Less than three minutes later Bencic provided the assist to senior Bella Crompton, who connected immediately once receiving the pass from the left side of the field. Crompton increases her team-lead on goals to four.
 
Pittsburgh-Greensburg finally got one back thanks to a penalty kick score, which started the run of three scores in the second half. The Bobcats benefited from a trip in the box in the 55th minute, and Riley Gesinski scored to make it a 3-1 game.
 
Henegar added on for her second goal of the contest in the 62nd minute, firing from the right side of the box as her shot bounced off the keeper's hands and into the goal.
 
Kathryn Chiado scored for the Bobcats in the 74th minute, finding the top right corner and out of reach for keeper Lucy Carlin. Carlin finished the game with four saves.
 
From there, Wooster (4-3-1) was able to keep the Bobcats out of the scoring column the rest of the way, securing their fourth win of the season. Pittsburgh-Greensburg falls to 4-3.
Both teams were even on shots on goal (7), while the Bobcats outshot the Scots 9-8. The four goals were a season-high this season for Wooster.
 
Next, Wooster takes another road trip on Saturday for a non-conference game against Muskingum University.
