The College of Wooster's Brock Sivon is one of the record 206 semifinalists for the 2026 William V. Campbell Trophy. The National Football Foundation made the announcement of the semifinalists on Wednesday.

The senior defensive back has 12 tackles through three games this fall, with a high of five coming during Wooster's 26-19 win at Kenyon College on September 12. In 2025, Sivon led Wooster with 93 tackles, the second-most within the North Coast Athletic Conference. That year, he opened the season with 13 tackles at Wilmington College for the first of six games with double-digit stops. He made 13 tackles at NCAC champion John Carroll University and the home finale against Kenyon.

Earlier in his career, Sivon was Wooster's leading tackler with 69 in 2023, a year in which he opened with interceptions against Wilmington and The University of Olivet. Sivon logged a career-high 16 tackles against DePauw University in 2023. He worked his way up to a starting role for the second half of the season as a first-year and finished 2022 with 37 tackles, a season-high nine of which came against Ohio Wesleyan University.

Sivon is set to graduate this December. The environmental studies major investigated the impact of the Diamond Shamrock industrial complex's operations and closures on employees and residents in Fairport Harbor and Painesville, Ohio for Independent Study. As part of the I.S., Sivon looked at how proximity to large brownfield sites affects the lives and wellbeing of nearby residents.

Sivon took part of two service-learning TREK programs offered by the College. His one to Fiji and Tuvalu examined the intersection of faith, spirituality, climate justice, and community resilience. Sivon analyzed Pacific Island responses to climate crisis through activism, education, and spiritual practice and contributed to climate-focused conservation projects. Those included coral reef planting and organic farming.

Sivon's TREK program to Costa Rica looked at challenges and solutions to human-wildlife conflict. Program participants examined key threats to Costa Rican wildlife and ecosystems, strengthening applied knowledge of biodiversity conservation and habitat protection, and assisted with roof construction at a local school.

The NFF will announce 12 to 16 finalists on October 21, and each of them will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2026 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class Presented by Fidelity Investments. One of the finalists will be named the winner of the Campbell Trophy in December and have his scholarship increased to $25,000.
