GROVE CITY, Pa. – An electric match between The College of Wooster men's soccer team and Grove City College resulted in a 3-2 win for the Scots on Thursday.
Thirty-one shots between the two teams led to a thrilling finish but first a 1-0 lead for the Scots at halftime before four goals were scored in the second half. For Grove City, they entered not only undefeated on the year but having only given up three goals, which was matched on Thursday.
Wooster's lone first half goal was a beauty as a low corner kick off the foot of
Aris Christodoulou found the head of
Robert Hillhouse, guiding it into the goal. It was the first of two goals on the night for the senior and his second multi-goal game of the year.
Grove City (5-1-3) came out hot in the second half, getting deep into Wooster territory early and often before finally connecting in the 51st minute.

The Wolverines kept the pressure on, finding the back of the net to go up, 2-1, in the 57th minute.
Ryan Higgs got a decent look near the top of the box and connected.
Yet, Wooster (5-3) would not go down quietly, capitalizing on a free kick near the corner and having Hillhouse score on another header in the 62nd minute. That tied the game at 2-2 and gave Hillhouse the team lead with five goals on the season.
This time, Wooster struck just over two minutes later, finding themselves back on top as Hillhouse assisted on a goal to junior
Connor Shea. Shea connected near the side of the box as his shot deflected off a Grove City defender.
Glucksman made a great stop following a free kick in the 84th minute. Grove City continued to be a threat into the final minutes, including a near miss with time winding down on a last chance attempt.
Grove City took 21 shots to Wooster's 10. Wooster had six shots on goal to Grove City's 11 and held the corner kick advantage 6-5.
Glucksman finished with a season-high nine saves.
Next, Wooster takes on Capital University (4-1-1) in Columbus on Saturday.
