The College of Wooster women's soccer team got right back to its winning ways on Tuesday, defeating Geneva College 2-0 at Carl Dale Field.
 
After a scoreless first half, Wooster broke the game's stalemate in the 50th minute.  Senior Bella Crompton's line drive of a shot bounced off a defender's back near the post to deflect right in. Junior Emma Fischer was credited with the assist after leading Crompton to the box.
 
Shortly after, Wooster used another deflection to their advantage with the score from Annie Henegar, her first of the year. In the 59th minute, Crompton laced another ball toward the middle of the box. This time it bounced off a defender's back and right to Henegar's foot.
 
Wooster was relentless with their attack, outshooting Geneva 33-3 in the game with 14 shots on goal. They kept Geneva (2-2) keeper Natalie Foster busy, who made 12 saves.
 
Wooster keeper Lucy Carlin needed to make just one save in the win.
 
Next, Wooster (2-1) hits the road for the first time this season with two games in Michigan. On Friday, they play Alma College before squaring off against Kalamazoo College on Saturday.
