United Soccer Coaches Release
Another honor two decades in the making, senior
Elliot Miller was named a United Soccer Coaches All-American on Thursday.
The College of Wooster men's soccer team's latest All-American is its first since
Brian Conaway was named to the third team in 2005. This is hot off the news of Miller and
Connor Shea being named All-Region, which was the first time a Wooster duo had been named All-Region since 2005 as well.
Miller was announced as a fourth team selection.
Fifty-two players earned recognition on the men's team. Miller is one of three players from the North Coast Athletic Conference, joining
Kameron Kist and
Henri Heyes from Denison University.
Miller led the Scots this year with 22 points on eight goals and six assists. He was one of three Scots who tallied double digits in points.
Miller reversed a Wooster offense which scored more than double the number of goals from a year ago (37 to 17), leading the Scots to a historic season in which they went 11-2-6. It was Wooster's best record in over 20 years.
In addition, Miller, who was named the NCAC Offensive Player of the Year, guided Wooster to its first NCAC Tournament berth since 2004.
For The College, this is the 12th different sport with an All-American in the last 10 years.
