Box Score GRANVILLE - The College of Wooster women's tennis team dropped its first North Coast Athletic Conference match to #32 nationally ranked Denison University by a 7-0 decision at the Denison Tennis Courts.
Denison moves to 2-2 on the year while picking up its first conference win. Wooster falls to 3-3 on the year and 0-1 in NCAC play.
The Scots' doubles lineup had a slightly new look to it as sophomore
Elyse Errington and senior
Abby Williams teamed up for the first time in the No. 2 doubles flight. The new pairing dropped its match, 6-0, to their Denison counterparts.

Jade Adkins appeared at No. 3 doubles together for the first time and the second time overall on the season. The duo and the No. 1 doubles team of first-year
Elizabeth Meiners and first-year
Sasha Riley both lost their matches by a 6-2 score.
Meiners and Riley both played beyond their years in singles' action, pushing their respective opponents to third sets.
Riley dropped a competitive first set 7-5, battled back in the second set to win 6-4 but ultimately fell in the decider 6-1. Meanwhile, a few courts down, her classmate Meiners had a similar outing, losing the first set before winning the second, but lost by a 6-0, 4-6, 6-0 line.
In the second flight, Williams had the most successful opening set of all the Scots before falling 6-2, 6-0. Adkins dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision in the fifth flight while Errington had the reverse set scores, losing 6-1, 6-0. Richmond lost by a pair of 6-0 scores in fourth singles.
It'll be a quick return to action for the Scots as they take on Otterbein University with a 9 a.m. start Sunday at Aspen Racquet Club.
